Oldřich SCHNABL
Narozen 13. dubna 1938 v Příkazích u Olomouce. Člen Unie výtvarných umělců Olomoucka, Unie výtvarných umělců České republiky a Klubu konkretistů Kk3 v Hradci Králové.
V dnešní době neomezených možností si spousta mladých lidí nedokáže představit, jak ustavičně musel Schnabl pracovat, aby mohl svou lásku k umění ukázat světu. Padesátá léta tehdy mladému výtvarníkovi nedovolovala tuto činnost rozvíjet a po studiích se musel vyučit sladovníkem, kterým zůstal až do branné povinnosti. Po odsloužení se již k vyučenému řemeslu nevrátil, a pomalu začal postupovat po cestě za svým vysněným povoláním.Jeho cesta začala, dost ironicky, v aranžovně Pramen, kde náplní jeho práce bylo navrhovat design výloh.
Schnabl neměl žádné oficiální výtvarné vzdělání. Rady a zkušenosti přebíral od starších umělců, ke kterým docházel na soukromá sezení a učil se přímo od nich. Jeden z prvních malířů, který mladého Schnabla přijal, byl Stanislav Menšík (malíř), později Jan Rajlich st. (přední český grafik) a do třetice Lubomír Scheider (olomoucký malíř). Nutno podotknout, že v té době se grafika dělala ručně, a tato zkušenost se přenáší i do Schnablových nynějších počítačových grafik. Jména jeho učitelů mají dnes v českém světě umění velkou váhu, a rozhodně si nemohl vybrat lépe. Nejvíce přínosné byla však spolupráce s Lubomírem Schneiderem, ze které si odnesl nejen zkušenosti a informace, ale i dlouholeté přátelství. Z tohoto přátelství později vzešel i nápad digitální grafiky.
V roce 1960 dostal možnost studovat Lidovou školu umění, kde potkal další spřízněnou duši v podobě Pavla Kotase (malíř) a Miroslava Dočkala (malíř). Po vystudování pracoval v reklamních ateliérech jako návrhář a grafik, ale v tomto případě nebylo moc možností jak vyjádřit svou kreativitu. Volné tvorbě se tedy věnoval jen pro vlastní potěšení a přístup k ní měli pouze blízcí kamarádi, přátelé a rodina.
Po revoluci se Schnabl mohl konečně zvolna nadechnout. Listopadová revoluce přinesla nové příležitosti a možnost podnikat. Založil si proto reklamní firmu Tip-studio, která byla jednou z prvních firem tohoto druhu v Olomouci. Nové podmínky využil pro rozvoj technologie v tisku a reklamě. Mohl tak využil svůj umělecký potenciál naplno, nezávisle a bez kádrového dozoru.
Na jeho hlubším uměleckým poznáním mají zásluhu jeho přátelé Miroslav Stibor (významný český fotograf), František Bělohlávek (malíř a grafik), Zdeněk Kučera (jeden z hlavních představitelů české geometrické abstrakce) a Jiří Hastík (malíř a kurátor výstav). S digitální grafikou splynul v roce 2002, a od té doby je to Schnablova životní "femme fatale".
Jako umělec je Schnabl velmi aktivní. Uspořádal četné množství svých autorských výstav, a na mnoha kolektivních výstavách se podílel. Vystavuje v České republice i v zahraniči. Mezi jeho velké aktivity patří podílení se na chodu Unie výtvarných umělců Olomoucka, pro kterou nově organizuje společenské setkání umělců a jejich přátel Múzyálles. Zorganizoval a převzal iniciativu za pořádání výstav v Galerii hotelu Flora.

Geboren 13. 04. 1938 in Příkazy bei Olmütz. Mitglied der Vereinigung der Bildenden Künstler der Region Olmütz, Mitglied der Vereinigung der Bildenden Künstler der Tschechischen Republik und Mitglied des Klubs der Konkretisten Kk3 in Königgrätz (Hradec Králové).
In der heutigen Zeit der unbeschränkten Möglichkeiten können sich viele junge Menschen nicht vorstellen, wie unablässig Schnabel arbeiten musste, damit er seine Liebe zur Kunst der Welt zeigen durfte. Die 50er Jahre erlaubten es dem damals jungen Künstler nicht, sich dieser Tätigkeit in vollem Umfang zu widmen. Nach der Schule lernte er Bierbrauer und arbeitete in diesem Beruf bis zu seiner Wehrpflichteinberufung. Danach kehrte er an seine Stelle nicht mehr zurück, sondern schlug endlich den steinigen Weg zu seinem Traumberuf ein.
Sein Weg begann, ironischerweise, in der Dekorationsabteilung von Pramen, dort musste er Schaufenster gestalten. Schnabl hatte damals keine offizielle gestalterische Ausbildung. Ratschläge und Erfahrungen sammelte er von älteren Künstlern, bei denen er Privatsitzungen nahm und von denen er lernte. Die ersten, die sich des jungen Schnabl annahmen, waren Stanislav Menšík (Maler), später dann Jan Rajlich der Ältere (führender tschechischer Grafiker) und Lubomír Schneider (Olmützer Maler). Man muss hinzufügen, dass man Grafik damals noch „von Hand“ gestaltete, diese Erfahrung spiegelt sich auch in seinen heutigen Computergrafiken wieder. Seine damaligen Lehrer genießen heute in der tschechischen Kunstwelt ein sehr hohes Ansehen, er konnte sich keine besseren aussuchen. Am fruchtbarsten war allerdings die Zusammenarbeit mit Lubomír Schneider, die ihm nicht nur viele Erfahrungen und Informationen brachte, sondern auch eine langjährige Freundschaft. Dieser Freundschaft entsprang später auch die Idee für die digitale Grafik.
1960 bekam er die Chance, eine Kunstschule zu besuchen, wo er weitere Seelenverwandte kennenlernte: Pavel Kotas und Miroslav Dočkal (beide Maler). Nach seinem Abschluss arbeitete er in verschiedenen Werbeabteilungen als Gestalter und Grafiker, auch wenn er dort nicht viele Gelegenheiten hatte, seine Kreativität zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Freie Kunst betrieb er nur zu seiner Freude, einen Zugang dazu erhielten nur enge Freunde und seine Familie.
Nach der Wende 1989 konnte Schnabl endlich Luft holen. Die „samtene Revolution“ vom November 1989 brachte neue Möglichkeiten und auch die Gelegenheit, als selbständiger Unternehmer zu arbeiten. Er gründete seine Werbeagentur Tip-Studio, die erste ihrer Art in Olmütz. Neue Bedingungen nutzte er zur Entwicklung von Technologien bei Drucksachen und Werbematerial. Endlich konnte er sein künstlerisches Potential voll, unabhängig und ohne politische Aufsicht entwickeln.
Verdienste an seinen tiefgehenden künstlerischen Erkenntnissen haben seine Freunde Miroslav Stibor (bedeutender tschechischer Fotograf), František Bělohlávek (Maler und Grafiker), Zdeněk Kučera (einer der Hauptvertreter der geometrischen Abstraktion in Tschechien) und Jiří Hastík (Maler und Ausstellungskurator). Mit Computergrafik verschmolz er im Jahr 2002, seit dem begleitet sie ihn als „femme fatale“ durch sein Leben.
Als Künstler ist Oldřich Schnabl sehr aktiv. Er veranstaltete etliche eigene Ausstellungen, nahm auch an vielen Sammelausstellungen teil. Seine Werke stellt er sowohl in der Tschechischen Republik als auch im Ausland aus. Zu seinen wichtigen Aktivitäten gehört die Mitgliedschaft in der Vereinigung der Bildenden Künstler der Region Olmütz, wo er u.a. die Treffen der Künstler und deren Freunde „Múzyálles“ organisiert. Unter seiner Federführung entstanden auch Ausstellungen in der Galerie des Hotels Flora.

Nowadays, in the age of limitless possibilities, a lot of young people cannot imagine how hard Schnabl had to work so that he could show his love of art to the whole world. The fifties did not allow the young artist to develop his skills and so, after studies he had been trained as a maltster, which he remained until conscription. After serving his time in the army he did not return to the craft and slowly begun to take steps toward the job of his dreams. His journey began, quite ironically, in the Pramen arrange-shop where his work was to design store shelves. Schnabl had no formal education in art. He acquired tips and experience from elder artists with whom he regularly had private sessions and learned directly from them. One of the first painters which took young Schnabl as an apprentice was Stanislav Menšík, later on it was Jan Rajlich Sr (a renowned Czech graphic artist) and the third man was Lubomír Schneider (a graphic artist from Olomouc). It is worth noting that the graphic arts were all done by hand back then and this experience is carried over onto his current computer graphics. Presently, the names of his teachers have great weight in the world of Czech art and he could not have chosen better. The most fruitful, however, was his co-work with Lubomír Schneider, from which he gained not only experience and information but a long-lasting friendship. In 1960 he gained the opportunity to study at the People's Art School where hWe found souls in the form of Pavel Kotas and Miroslav Dočkal (both painters). After his studies he worked in commercial studios as a designer and graphic designer, but in this case there were not many possibilities to express his creativity. That's why Schnabl was doing his free art just for fun and only a few close friends and family had access to it.
After the Velvet Revolution Schnabl could breathe free again. The November Revolution brought new opportunities and the freedom to run a business. Thus, he created the Tip-studio commercial studio which was one of the first of its kind in Olomouc. He used the new conditions for the advancement of printing and commercial technology. Hence, he could use his artistic potential to his utmost, independently and without any ideological supervision.
His friends Miroslav Stibor (an important Czech photographer), František Bělohlávek (a graphic artist), Zdeněk Kučera (one of the main figures of the Czech geometric abstractions) and Jiří Hastík (an artist and curator of exhibitions) all have their part in Schnabl s deeper understanding of art. He merged with digital graphics in 2002 an it has been the 'femme fatale' of his life ever since
As an artist Schnabl is greatly active. He has organised a large number of his author exhibitions and has had his part in a lot of collective ones, too. He exhibits both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Among his busiest activities is taking part of running the Union of Painting Artists of Olomouc for which he newly organises the Múzyáles ball. Recently, he has also taken the initiative for the organisation of the expositions in the Flora Hotel Gallery.
